Coaching & Advising

In order to effectively change broken systems, I believe we also need to look at ourselves. My coaching practice draws on my 20+ years on non-profit / NGO management and leadership development to support individuals and teams in their professional and personal goals in an engaging and results-oriented way.

Feeling stretched, stuck, unclear, or just ready to take your leadership to a new level? Clients tell me my coaching sessions are empowering, effective, and enjoyable. They leave our work together with more clarity, more confidence, new skills and tools, and renewed energy to engage in the work they feel called to.

My approach includes four central pillars:

  • Participant-centered: Participants collaborate with me to identify their primary needs and select methods for change that fit them best. This leverages self-knowledge and ensures participants are in control of their own growth.

  • Match the method to the participant: I use a wide range of traditional and nontraditional methods to invite change. In collaboration with the participant, it is my job to offer a menu of options and then support the participant in engaging with methods tailored to their specific needs.

  • Track and catalyze results: Each step of the way, we identify our goals and track our progress in understanding and initiating those changes. It is important to me that each participant is clear on what they are trying to accomplish and can recognize the change as it is happening. This yields optimal results and prevents situations where participants enjoy coaching but aren’t clear on what is being achieved.

  • Empower the participant for continued growth: Coaching should be about guiding and encouraging individuals to harness their own power while ensuring they gain skills that enable them to advance their own growth. My approach caters to this so participants leave with clear next steps and a sense of agency around their own ongoing growth.

I like to start with a package of five one-hour sessions, with the option to continue as needed. Kicking off with this number of sessions allows us time to identify needs, demonstrate progress, and conclude in a way that enables participants to take ownership of and advance change independently.

All initial packages include five one-hour calls, a pre-assessment, as well as support between sessions and materials.
